Agricultural Business Proposal

We were invited by Wengfong Nurseries Sdn. Bhd. to go to Cameron Highlands to write an agricultural business proposal to the Agriculture Department of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industries (MAFI).

The client represents the largest chrysanthemum cuttings (young plants) planting company in Cameron Highlands. They invested a huge sum to bring in the ‘Flier Systems’ from the Netherlands to produce 6000 coco peat bricks an hour for chrysanthemum cuttings (young plants) planting.

Coconut peat, a purely organic entity made from coconut shell fiber, is a form of soilless planting widely recognized around the world. Wengfong’s ‘Flier Systems’ represent the one and only most advanced coco peat manufacturing machinery in the country.

The company uses Dutch chrysanthemum seeds, most of which have been genetically modified. The color, (longer) lifespan and shape of the chrysanthemum are better than ordinary species, and they are immune to viruses.

With more than 20 clients in Cameron Highlands, we have written quite a few business proposals to the Land Office and Ministry of Agriculture in Pahang. This particular trip to write about chrysanthemum cuttings (young plants) planting has given us a better insight into chrysanthemum and the market.
